For one thing, you don't know that it was critics of design that actually brought forward the "nylon bug" thing as an example of evolution that added new genetic information .... and that claim was predicated on nylon being a new substance when humans produced it in the 1930's. I don't dispute that. I'm just pointing out that the idea that mutations produced two new genes in a lab in a few months is unbelievable. I do believe the new genes appeared ... I just don't think there is any evolutionary theory that can account for it.
