The merger will not happen in this quarter The market will have taken the Visigenic situation into account from the moment the deal was announced, regardless of when it is consummated. What should be of concern to shareholders is the "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation they will be faced with, should Visigenic's results for the quarter be in any way suspect. Should they vote against, and risk a "lack of longerm strategy" backlash, or for, and risk a "poor decision" tag? There may be a couple of lessons still to be learnt from last year's acquisition, I think. david
