Rudy Guiliani saved thousands of black Americans

This past week-end on Meet the Press, former NYC Mayor Rudy Guiliani was insulted and smeared by fellow panelist and MSNBC host Michale Eric Dyson. Dyson went so far as to accuse Guiliani of having a mentality akin to white supremacists. This is all the left has when confronted with the truth, which is exactly what Guiliani provided as he cited crime stats. But Dyson would have none of it. (I wrote about the exchange, here.)



Guiliani has continued to try to place facts between the ears of anyone out there who appears allergic to them when he was a recent guest on Fox & Friends.




I probably saved more black lives as mayor of New York City than any mayor in the history of this city with the possible exception of Mike Bloomberg, who was there for 12 years. When I came into office thousands of blacks were being killed every year. By the time I left office it was down to about 200. I’d like to see if any of, if Dr. Dyson has ever saved as many lives in this community as I’ve saved. And I did by having to use police officers in black areas where there was an astounding amount of crime. If that crime were in white areas, police officers would be in white areas. If it were in Hispanic areas, it would be in Hispanic areas. I had no racial component to my determination of where to put police. It was based on the ComStat system which I established with Bill Braden. I had a statistically based system that actually the Justice Department investigated and found to be perfectly fair under then, then, Deputy Attorney General Holder….
