Yeah- because there is no way they might actually have come to the correct decision. Not that anyone on the protest lines wants to hear that. Nothing says "I support justice" like rioting, shooting guns and looting small businesses. And those 3 blacks on the jury- not enough for you. What if they, too, found no probably cause? What if an entirely black jury had come to the decision? Or do you feel that if they'd all been black they would have come to the "right" decision...
You know the officer went before the grand jury for 4 hours, right? He wasn't legally obligated to do that, and I don't think anyone who was guilty would have done that. This case stank from day one. It was just a bad case to pin all these hopes on, in terms of racial payback and "justice". I don't know what was wrong with this kid- but he (giant, scary, guy) robbed a store, attacked a policeman, and then was shot. This just isn't a great poster boy for police brutality.
But hey- I'm not going to convince you, and you sure as hell won't convinced me. So, we could insult each other's intelligence, that's always fun, or we could just move on. |
