Listening to the prosecutor work his way through the details of the case last night, it certainly sounded to me as if there was probable cause to prosecute. Whether there would have been enough to convict is a different question. Hard to tell since the prosecutor obviously framed and structured the evidence to justify the no indictment decision.

This one will go down as a terrible decision.

As well as the decision to wait until 9 in the evening to announce rather than do it at 2 in the afternoon, when all was known. Feeds a conspiracy theory that the prosecutor wanted a terrible reaction to take the news cycle away from this very bad decision.

There's talk that efforts to reverse police killing of unarmed young black males is the civil rights movement of this generation of activists. The handling of this case certainly pushes that movement forward.
