One wonders if it isn't just testosterone fueled rage combined with emotional fear of a perceived boogeyman... Some people just should not be cops. How could we screen for this? Is there a reliable sociopath or hyper hormone test (we know from PEDs in the sports world that hormones can fuel rage -- See Bill Romanowsky. xfinity.comcast.net ) Or are my thoughts inherently political, rather than scientific? The other side of this is the cops who play "good guy" and are shot vs. the true perps. We don't want cops to be judge, jury or executioner; but some split second self defense decisions are reasonable. 100% realtime uploading cameras would help. Today's police turn off the cameras, as well as the public's recorders, when it might harm their intent.
