Let me address one of those - vestigial organs. At one time it was thought the human body had almost 100 of these. Now they are down to a small handful. As science has learned more, they've found that most socalled vestigial organs actually have uses and aren't vestiges of anything. That's true of the appendix, the most famous of these.
