Did you bother to read the testimony? Wilson was able to spin his narrative unchallenged, despite the incredible slant of it. According to him, he was like a 5 year old struggling with Hulk Hogan. Now both he and Brown were about the same height, albeit Brown was stockier. When I was Wilson's age, I was about the same height and weight as Wilson. No way I was a 5 year old compared to Hogan with anyone I ever met. And his talk about Brown was like a demon? And he was bulking up to charge a man with a gun? None of this sounds credible.

Here is an infographic put together by PBS that breaks down the eye witness testimony.

As you might expect, the information is all over the place. Eye witnesses are like that. Which is why you don't just use a few of them. You do find some consistent themes, though. All but two of those asked, including Wilson, said Brown had his hands up. A narrow majority said he was kneeling. A narrow majority says Wilson did not keep firing after Brown was down.

So the consensus seems to be that Brown had his hands up. Brown might have been kneeling. Wilson may or may not have continued firing after Brown was down.

So yeah, under these circumstances alone, the grand jury failed to indict. Mix in Wilson's incredible testimony and that only solidified that. There are enough questions and strange twist that a trial is indicated to sort things out. Remember that is what the grand jury was called for. Not to try Wilson, but to determine whether or not a trial was needed.
