Obviously there will be a big reflex drop in the AM but I personally don't see anything in the announcement that adversely affects the fundamentals of the company. The earnings ( minus the expected upfront payment from the eventual licensee ) are on target. If I were negotiating a licensing deal with another company potentially worth hundreds of millions of dollars I would do it VERY VERY carefully without a specific deadline date, especially since the drug isn't even on the market yet. Why screw the company ( and the shareholders ) by negotiating a bad deal just to get it done by December 31?

My prediction: a big drop at the open, and a sharp recovery later.
