E! >> What does "hold" really mean? << "Hold" means if the broker sold the stock to you than it is still good but don't buy any more...but its not his fault if it goes to zero. "buy" means I have something to sell you that makes me a commission. "sell" means all stocks I didn't sell you are no good and you should sell immediately and "buy" my other stocks rated a buy so I can get a commission. In reality there are only two ratings that all analysts know but don't use and that is "getum" known as buy if you don't have and keep if you do... and the other is "sellum" known as sell if you got it and don't even think of buying it.
