but its an effect rather than a cause and approaching it with a strong political ideology, high emotion and vested interests is and will cause his efforts to be misdirected and add to the hot headed rhetoric working against any real resolutions.

It is caused by the domination of the political channels by entrenched interests with access to unlimited legal political funding, which assures that no legitimate policies to curb the excesses can ever gain traction..

Krugman's rhetoric falls well short of the incendiary remedies that will eventually be employed in the continued absence of any realistic political effort to deal with these issues

..that is a certainty that history informs us is simply a matter of time
