I only occasionally use Facebook in a very limited way, so not sure how the 'news' algorithm works. But the items I see on my feed are generally incredibly stupid. Kind of a dumbed down National Enquirer. I don't post or follow that kind of stuff, but apparently some 'friends' do? Or it is purely an editorial decision by Facebook. Who knows. Young people are leaving Facebook in droves for other social media outlets. It will be interesting to see what brings along the 'next big thing.' I'm thinking The Matrix.... "Sir, your life support/energy generating capsule is ready.."
