You wrote: "...I liked Jeremy and hated to see him go. Not surprised though as history shows the odds of a black man winning survivor are pretty low. Usually one of the first three voted out...."

While it is possible that I misunderstand your comment, I think you are implying that black men are voted against because of their race. I believe this is incorrect and an example of the victim mentality that prevents many American black people from having a realistic view of the world.
I liked Jeremy too, and was sorry to see him voted off, but it is clear to me that the interplay of social relationships among players and the perceived self-interest of individuals resulted in the vote going against him. Do you suppose that people vote counter to their own perceived self-interest in order to hold back blacks?
Whenever a black person is not hired for a job or not selected for a position in America, he/ she has the comfortable option of saying "It was because I'm Black" and thereby avoid considering the possibility that his/ her own shortcomings were the cause. If his/ her language skills or other abilities are inferior, he sees no reason to try to improve in order to succeed in the future, because ( as he is told by those who see racism as the primary factor in all interactions between people) the reason he fails to get the job is his race. If he improved his skills he would still fail because of his race, right?
Is encouraging this victim-mentality in the best interests of American Blacks?
