Well, the video establishes the shoplifting or whatever. But that was not a precondition for Brown being engaged by Wilson. In fact, when Wilson initially made contact with Brown, it was because Brown was [oddly] walking down the middle of the road, blocking traffic. It was not until after Wilson heard the follow up call with the description of the perpetrators that Wilson put two and two together.

But I would argue that the testimony, along with the physical evidence, is compelling absent the video. The video adds to it, but its absence wouldn't, imo, have changed the outcome. If there had been no robbery but Brown ended up dead, I don't think that materially changes the picture.
