Your are absolutely correct. Neither Russia or China will ever reach their full potential unless they give their people enough freedom to pursue their interests without the fear of losing everything thy have built because they are viewed as a threat to the regime. Kasparov is brilliant and probably Putin's harshest and most articulate critic. I have been following him on Twitter for several years: @Kasparov63
