Why do you think the outcomes in Survivor are what they are?

Natalie's sister was obnoxious! :) It had nothing to do with race, imo.
Natalie has earned a LOT of respect from me this season; I don't care what pigeon hole of humanity she is in. I wasn't expecting anything positive out of the twins. I've been pleasantly surprised. She doesn't use race or sexuality or anything else...she's playing Survivor and pushing herself to see her limits.
I Was also pleased to watch a "Secret Scene" where Jon said how much he admired her for pushing thru last week's challenge even though she knew she was safe. He then said "that will play well for the jury". I'm not the only one impressed.

Jeremy? He was a hoss! I would have voted him off first after a merge; just simply so he wouldn't kick my hiney at individual immunity challenges. I thought Jon wanted him off because he was going to "blow his cover" about having an idol. Never did they really explain that one; but I didn't see it as racist.

Jeremy's wife?? I think, in her own words, she "tried too hard and bluffed too hard and got voted out".

(Y'all really should watch some of the "day after" videos!! Both Ponderosa AND present day interview. A LOT of interesting things come out!)

I don't think any of the votes (talking of this season) were based on race, myself. I personally think THE MAJORITY of people these days have gotten over the whole "different life/lifestyle" mentality?? Would sure hope so. (Please don't bring up what's on the news...that's not a "majority of people".)

Having failed college statistics TWICE, I can't give the odds, but would think that with a minority of ANY kind, the odds could be against you. Female, male, African American, Caucasian American, Spanish, Asian, etc...matters not.

I also would think that in a need to survive coming before the battle to win...most folks would want to get along and survive first...and race, gender, nationality, lifestyle, etc would be secondary. Starvation, deprivation, STORMS makes for strange bed fellows. :)

Just an opinion that I probably shouldn't have tossed out there.
Without a moderator on this board; perhaps we keep it to small talk concerning Survivor and not get ourselves into any big deep philosophical or insulting discussions?
Of course, with most of the board yawning thru this season; something had to get us posting again, right? :)
