This is just stupid. Between 1980 and 1988, the number of federal government jobs, INCLUDING MILITARY, increased from 4.965 M to 5.289 M, an increase of 324,000 jobs over 8 years. Now, you are trying to claim that an increase in 40K jobs per year had some meaningful effect on the economy.

I would also point out that between 1980 and 1983, when Reagan was ending the recession, jobs increased from 4.965M to 5.039M -- a total of 74,000 new jobs over three years. Immaterial, by any metric.

You are so full of it.
