I don't think he really tried.

He has been totally neutral on race for the most part. What did you want him to do, sing praises of whites?

Blaming the other side is a sure-fire way to keep up the status quo. Think about it.

You man like the Right does? I suppose you have a point.

Remember that Republicans stated from day 1 their primary goal was to make sure Obama was a one term president. Not what is best for the country. Not what is best for the economy. But what is best for the party. And they acted on it. Obama tried very hard to but a bi-partisan consensus. Bent over backwards. To the point that many progressives, much less out and out liberals, became very disgruntled at Obama's Republican-lite approach to everything. all of his attempts were rebuffed by the my-way-or-the-highway approach the Republicans got used to under Bush.

So yeah, there are those like myself who blame the Republicans. Because most of the blame belongs there,. Think the economy should have done better? Here is a thought, why not work with the other guys and see what can be hammered out? Not petulantly sit in the corner shouting 'no!'. Not by racking up the most number of filibusters in the Senate in history.

Y'all made it clear that as long as y'all have any power at all, you will be the problem and won't work on solutions. Now that y'all have both Houses, let's see if things will change. And I don't mean more resolutions to disband ACORN, repeal Obamacare, get rid of Planned Parenthood or any of the slew of meaningless things that have been done.

I suppose a campaign of intransigence is ok. But at least man up and admit it. Trying to blame others for the fallout of your own actions is childish.

And that is insulting children.
