You are ignoring that the number of uniformed military barely increased over those years. Taking your time frame, the military(in thousands) went from 2090 to 2176. The total federal employment went from 4965 to 5288. opm.gov 40k jobs per year whe the economy is shedding jobs is significant. Talk about beyond stupid...
