I'm sorry to read about this newest physician suffering so much from his humanitarian efforts in Sierra Leone.

One phrase in the story you posted struck a chord of fear into my heart.
It was this phrase:
>>and plasma taken from survivors of the disease.<<
TAKEN? Not given or donated, but TAKEN?

Maybe it's just me, but use of that particular word connotates force used by some authority structure instead of generosity on the part of survivor givers who are undoubtedly in a weakened physical state for an extended period of recovery time.

I don't think it's cool to "TAKE" from those who need every ounce of whatever their body can manufacture during recovery after suffering so greatly in the first place.

And who decides who gets plasma "takings" and who doesn't?

Something is totally wierd about this whole modern plague saga.
