The big rain (and possibly mudslides) are coming this week to Northern California. I PREDICT that when California is soaked; Limbaugh and usual suspects will screech how our record California drought was just a normal weather hiccup and there was/is nothing to worry about. The religio-right will attribute it to prayer, smear the atheist scientists-- then pass the plate. Why do they historically go driving us all into these human and financial cliffs? THREE REASONS. 1. Because they are "right wing conservatives." 2. Because they are "right wing conservatives." 3. Because they are "right wing conservatives." Right wing conservatives must get absolutely self-destroyed and reinvented every few generations. Its the political and social process of fearful, biased, faux-critical minds. The backpedal of progress going forward. The drumbeat is always paid for by the fatcats of the era. Then, history is spun to empower new selfish conservatives and preserve as much of the old exceptionalism as they can. For conservatives, extinction is not an option. And so it goes that many fracking' Californian's will continue to kick the climate change can because of the rain coming in. JMHO
