Chara went down with a serious knee injury as well. Bruins have been hit hard by injuries. Not that I have any sympathies for the team. That's a fact of life in the NHL.

Isles called up Ryan Pullock (First round pick 2013), but he never played and was sent back down the next day. It bugs the hell out of me that Brian Strait is playing over Pulock. I think Pulock may very well be ready. Isles need a solid seventh defenseman and a left winger for Tavaras. Reinhart does not check hard and Donavan is too small. Good thing Vanek rejected Isles 7M a year deal for 7 years.

I've gone to Bridgeport, CT to see the Isles AHL team play a couple of times. It is just an hour ride. I am quite impressed with Pulock. I am no scout, but I think he has made great strides and can make a nice contribution to the team. He is a real good puck handler, has a rocket for a shot and checks hard, in contrast to Reinhart. Very good skater.
