Bill Ayers Tells Iranian Newspaper: The United States Is A Terrorist Nation ............................................................................................................................................................................ December 7, 2014 teaparty.org <More Here> One of President Barack Obama’s friends from his days as a community organizer and local politician gave Iran’s government-controlled news service an interview that appeared on Saturday throughout the Middle East. Former American radical and Weather Underground terrorist, Professor William Ayers, told Iran’s Fars News Agency in an interview on Saturday that the U.S. is a terrorist nation and the most serious threat to world peace. Ayers, who is now retired from his professorship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, is best known as a radical leftist who during the turbulent 1970's was involved in perpetrating terrorist bombings and other anti-American activities by his own admission. During young Barack Obama’s early days of campaigning, many believed he and Ayers and Ayers’ equally radical wife, Bernadette Dorn, also a Weather Underground terrorist, were close friends and that Ayers, along with Marxist author Saul Alinsky, had a huge influence in Obama’s political development. “While Obama denies his close relationship with Ayers, according to a number of sources including the founder of Times Books — publisher of President Barack Obama’s autobiography Dreams From My Father — Thomas Lipscomb had dropped a huge bomb on the Obama White House. Now a senior fellow at the well-regarded Annenberg Center, Lipscomb contends that Obama’s story was actually ghostwritten by former terrorist and cop-killer William Ayers. However, Obama’s sycophants within most news outlets ignored the entire story,” according to Accuracy in Media. Bill Ayers told the Iranian reporter, Kourosh Ziabari, that by most standards “the [United States] is indeed a terrorist nation.” He also told the reporter that American people are “the greatest purveyors of violence on earth over the past half century, and the foremost threat to world peace today.” “U.S. imperialism is in decisive decline today as an economic and political power even as it is expanding as a ferocious and aggressive military power. This combination—decline and ascent—makes this a particularly unstable, dangerous, and urgent moment on the clock of the universe,” he cackled. “I think the US should immediately close all military bases and installations abroad, withdraw all troops on foreign soil including all mercenary fighters, end all military aid to Israel, and unilaterally decommission its nuclear arsenal,” Bill Ayers advised. Ayers also told the Iranian newsman that the “invasion and occupation was disastrous for the people of Afghanistan, and catastrophic for the people of the world, including the people of the U.S. The so-called War on Terror is a myth, but it’s a fairy-tale with murderous consequences, and the perpetrator is the U.S. government.” To make his point, during the interview Ayers begins to argue semantics with regard to the word terrorism. He describes terrorism as “a mode of governing, or of opposing a government, by intimidation.” This definition has the virtue of consistency and fairness; it focuses on the use of coercive violence, whether committed by a religious cult, a political sect, a group of zealots, or the state itself. And by that definition the U.S. is indeed a terrorist nation; it’s also the greatest purveyor of violence on earth over the past half century, and the foremost threat to world peace today.” “In all my efforts I work for more peace and more participatory democracy, more transparency and sustainability, more joy and more justice in large and small matters. I work toward a state of affairs in which the US might become a nation among nations—not the uber-nation that the ruling and political classes dream of and fight for,” Ayers told the Fars News Agency’s reporter.
