Hybride would have waste heat for heating the car in the cold and for air conditioning in hot areas. I feel these are needed. It is hell to drive a cold/boiling hot car for long trips, although an electric car could have double windows and be insulated and sealed for heating/cooling. Battery life need to be extended. 1000 charge/discharge cysles is about the best we can do now(around 3 years) The membranes for Ballard cells are costly and also have a lifetime problem, so there are factors. One factor is the law, make people use battery cars by out lawing/taxing gas to death. Bill
