I agree with everything you wrote except the sentence that contains Cheney's name. No question he's a rabid dog, but once you approve of the death penalty for anyone, you're on a slippery slope ... same for torture, which is the only reason I don't want to see him waterboarded at the Hague every day for the rest of his life. When the state does something, it legitimizes it somewhat ... so locking him up and throwing away the key would be good enough for me.
