It doesn't work that way. Doing anything is a lot like doing everything else, especially when you are doing them for somebody else. Both require money to do them, and they have to meet state and county requirements. No scrimping on light bulbs and insulation in order to pay for panels. Can't tell the buyer, "Your walls are just taped sheet rock cuz I spent the money necessary to finish them on solar panels. Don't bother to thank me. Buy mud and paint with the money you save on your electric bill, and finish them yourselves ."
