| | | Substitute 'Nature' for creator and all makes better & more perfect sense. Nature is obvious to all, is the universal creator and always right before you where nothing at all is hidden. The fossil record is an incredible set of proofs for Nature's ability to transition new forms thru Natural Selection, if just looking at the fossils we know the story of life itself is measured in deep time scales, this was the intuition of the Greeks.
As for Naturalism failing to reveal moral sense, duty, mutual cooperation, equality and even love of enemies, it does so very well, best of all in fact. Jesus was centuries late to that party, that began with the observations & examinations of Greek philosophers first. Christianity & Jesus are perfect examples of that earlier Platonist & Stoic philosophy, which had evolved in Greece & Hellenist schools of thought, nothing can be clearer than this.

But given that evolution is true even in a cultural sense, then it is easy to see the original ideas of law & equality, social order & morality, love & mutual respect, duty & honor, justice to even diet & personal hygiene..... one looks all the way back to the Egyptian civilization. They were a very fastidious people, personal habits & hygiene saw them bathing once a day, plenty of soap & water! There was no 'Jewish Egyptian" called Moses either, that is one of the greatest stories ever sold.
They were the original template for most everyone as far as written history goes but there's the Sumerian & Babylonians as well. Remember Egypt where your Proverbs, Maxims & Psalms and even your Ten Commandments were all taken/stolen from?
