Legislation was passed in the US that will allow the development of the largest copper mine in North America. It's located in Superior,Arizona, about 30 km from the Van Dyke property. Apparently copper is now classified as a "national security issue" so it was included in a defense bill for passage. The Van Dyke deposit is open at depth so I wonder what would happen if we punched a deep hole into the sulphide zone. Here's some details:
