Wharfie, those don't refute what I wrote. They disagree, but simplistically disagreeing isn't argument. For example the dopey graph the welfare promoters show of teenage pregnancy going down doesn't mean welfare was good. You are old enough to know that women were often pregnant when married in their teens 60 years ago. You also no doubt know that effective contraception by way of hormones pill popping became normal which of course resulted in fewer teenage pregnancies.
Regarding CO2 and pH in blood, maybe it's there like gremlins were in WWII aircraft and leprechauns live at the bottom of my garden. But I search and can't find them. "Look harder" isn't really persuasive that they are there. You are claiming they exist, so you show the data. I can't find it there.
In 2005 you were claiming Peak Oil was a done deal. A decade later and we can easily see that it was not. Peak Oil will be when Peak People occurs in 2037 [or sooner with an H5N1 style onslaught, or a continued American attack on Russia via Ukraine etc - WWI and WWII were obviously not good enough lessons in the dangers of megalomania, or a Pacific Ocean bolide]. I can get the data for you to see oil consumption from BP's Statistical Review of World Energy. Surely there is something similar in your neck of the woods for pH in blood, especially since you claim to be an ace in that regard so should have the data at your fingertips.
The discovery that CO2 absorbs certain light wavelengths and so warms air doesn't mean that the world will get warmer, as we have found. Since Arrhenius, there has been more discovered. Such as the great variability in climate over the epochs and over shorter periods like millennia. The false premise held by the Global Alarmists is that Earth has homeostasis. It doesn't. There is no equilibrium. On the contrary, for example, carbon has been stripped from the ecosphere for hundreds of millions of years and deposited in stupendously vast graveyards. The Gaia theory means that humans were introduced to rescue the planet by recycling that carbon back into the ecosphere. But paradoxically, Gaia is supposed to be too helpless to cope with people who supposedly work AGAINST Gaia. Amusing. Earth is NOT in balance. Never was. But we have managed to get CO2 back up from homeopathic levels so plants can breathe a little easier.
We need another 200 ppm. Unfortunately, people are interested in Number 1 and won't buy hydrocarbons to burn if they can avoid it, which they are increasingly able to do. GDP per barrel has been zooming for a century. In the 1970s, I sold loads of oil, and people changed their engine oil frequently. Now they have those Tesla and Leaf things and my company is installing Halo inductive recharging for cars around London. Selling oil will become more difficult. Gas stations have closed by the thousand over the last 3 decades as car efficiency has improved and their range.
Saudi Arabia has lowered their price and all must follow, in an attempt to maintain sales. But competition is fierce as people find ways to avoid buying hydrocarbons by saving energy or buying cheaper supplies such as photovoltaics.
