Wharfie "10,000 years" is a round number, near enough for government work and certainly close enough for the point being made. "You left off a comma, and the actual 2000 year smoothed minimum was 13,432 years ago, not 10,000 years" doesn't mean my point was wrong. "Hey look over there instead" is also not an argument.
Good point with that graph though. Look at the blue line sagging back towards reglaciation before Gaia sensibly brought people into the game, and especially me, to get the oil industry going in a big way, to recycle the graveyard oil and gas back into the ecosphere and back to life. I'm quite glad that Gaia invented me. But while we are getting theological, the Devil is at work, as always, twisting Climatista minds even as they return from their latest party-fest jamboree this time in Lima. Woohoo!! That was a fun jaunt in big airliners. Thousands of Devil worshippers. What they don't understand is how subtle and sneaky the Devil is. Those in his thrall don't know they are. They are in his trance and think, mistakenly, that they are doing God's work, saving the planet. But they should notice the giveaway that they are doing exactly what they say everyone should not do, flying 10 km high in the sky, at 1000 kph, contrails behind, reflecting on their self-indulgence, the girl they met, the food and fiesta, the time away from the drudge of grant proposals for more climate change research to get them through to the next jamboree. Next time Bali!! Or Rarotonga. No, wait, Rarotonga can't take such a horde of Devil worshippers. There's not enough luxury accommodation on the island.
Anyway, the blue line shows we have saved the day. No snowball Earth. Except that we probably haven't. Stand by for the 2020 decline.
