"You are wrong in thinking that war is about killing. War is about achieving ones goals."

My front line war experiences and wins achieved our goals and successfully completed the missions of my "A" Team. I spent 20 years in that business, including 11 years deployed.

I know war and what it is all about. War is not about waterboarding. It is laughable that some even think that.

The key decision that tremendously weakened our armed forces and war fighting capability, was Nixon's ending of the draft in 1972.

The last draftee was discharged in Nov 75. At that time almost 90% of the members of Congress were veterans. Today almost 90% of our congressional members are not veterans. That is a void that we must overcome.

One American had a handle on some of our problems when he said,
Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones.

The question Rumsfeld was referring to was about nuclear material in Iraq. It was there. We now have GBs who are retired on 100% disability due to exposure in N Iraq.
One is a friend. We were inducted to the GB HOF together.

Waterboarding is not worth the discussion because we have ended the program. It never was and never will be decisive in war.

Splashing water on 3 human faces for 20 seconds pales in comparison to our enemy's tactic of slaughtering and butchering thousands of men women and children because they don't like their faith.

Waterboarding ended years ago. The human slaughter continues unabated. Why are ya'll fighting waterboarding?

If you want to win a war and/or end a war, vote for veterans. They know how to do that.
