That project would never be a go in this competitive desert watershed

Like Pebble, it was simply in a location that had more environmental baggage than mining in this era can overcome

..but my criticism, which is really one of management risk, is that they certainly spent enough on Schaft to have gained a much better handle on a mine as was required under Salazar

They pissed away a lot of millions doing work irrelevant to that objective

The question that I haven't heard an answer to is why did Elmer do advance work that was of incidental value to CUU holders but of primary value to Teck
