I have three finales on the DVR now, the Showtime duo plus Craig Ferguson.

One thing that was better in the 80's-90's was the ability VCRs gave to record specific times. Sometimes, one doesn't want to record the entire football game, but only the 4th quarter and any potential overtime. Neither Comcast nor Fios allows that kind of flexibility. Also, one could buy a slew of blank tapes and keep the recordings of the '86 Mets or Johnny Carson's last month for posterity. I might store something for awhile with my 20 hrs, but ultimately I'll be letting it go. I guess I could attach a VCR or DVD recorder, but people just don't do that these days.
