Brumar trying to rewrite Cuban history?

Yes, if you were upper or professional class, your life was very good. Which is why the older Cuban-Americans are so pissed. But for the rest? Life really sucked. Especially under Battista. Most Cubans were devout Catholics. Imagine how they felt when about the only work their daughters could get was as prostitutes in the casinos and the tourist areas. It was one of the big things Castro used to rise to power. To leave out those little details means you are being disingenuous. But, you are arguing with Brumar where the ends justify the means...

It is crucial to understand this. It is at the heart of the reason why Castro remained so popular.
