Found your post on G and understand what you're saying about the gateways. Sounds like costs projected at this point in time are very good for G but they may not be able to maintain that rate as construction expenses and time marches on. That's why I like the fact that Iridf is "supposed " to be operational over a year ahead of G. That factor alone will dictate market share from go IMHO. One other thing that is important at the onstart is people/businesses that purchase this product are/should not be worried about cost per minute. That price discounting and comparing will come later if ever. What I'm saying is there are so many long distance rates out there the average person really has no idea who is the cheapest. I have MCI but now I'm getting mail from Qwest for 7 1/2 cts. per minute. Who cares, I'm not switching even though it may save me a few cents. Maybe my attitude isn't indicative of the general public, but joe public will not be the profile of Iridf or G's customer.
