According to the wingnuts here, the Democrats had enormous powers while in the minority. Like causing the banking crisis. Despite using the threat of a filibuster far fewer times than the Republicans have done when in the minority, the Senate was helpless to oppose them in their maniacal drive to destroy the country. Likewise in the House, the Republicans just couldn't overcome their relentless drive to destruction. Once again, the Republicans were innocent victims... I guess they were too busy looting the country to counter Democratic tricks.
