That there is a dynamic chemical evolution from the big bang & following cooling event that is about as self evident a fact as can be. There are new stars being born,old stars dying & everything in between.It begins in galactic nurseries like the Orion nebula, where Christmas-colored clouds of gas and dust mingle primordial elements left over from the Big Bang with the ashes of more recent stars that have died and exploded.
