Re the LA Times piece, particularly : <<These developments suggest that old ideas about "peace through strength" may give way to new notions of "peace through knowledge.">>

Walter Wriston said back in the late 1970s that an expanding worldwide network would create an "information standard" which would police central banks and eliminate the ability of governments to inflate. He predicted the demise of gold as a standard of value, to be replaced by information. So now we not only have "peace through knowledge" but more sound worldwide economics as well.

Best regards,

Charlie

P.S. Did you see the news out of AT&T re their "strategic investments"?
