You're nuts.

"Corps" jump in when government runs out of money. This is consistently the way basic research works. Again, the obvious -- the Internet -- stumbled along for 15 years before private enterprise made something of it. If it had continued to be a government enterprise, we would not have meaningful Internet services today.

Even the great successes of government -- the Manhattan Project, the Apollo program, etc., can't be replicated today because of insane bureaucracy and inability to manage costs. Government is paralyzed with bureaucracy and we get little of value for our money.

Beyond that, it is ABSURD to suggest that this, in some way, relates to your public transportation fantasies. Even with massive taxes on transportation, government cannot even maintain our current transportation infrastructure, let alone innovate to create anything new. So, the innovative concepts come from private sources looking to land big government contracts to keep them in business (see: Elon Musk).

You really don't have a clue what you're talking about. Too much CJ, not enough reality.
