J Mattessich,

RAVE is now down to 1 7/8 and it is curious that nobody seems to know why. I've talked with the company who doesn't have a clue and the underwriter NS & L; they don't offer much more information either. The path that RAVE has taken follows very closely to another auto parts company also underwritten by NS & L called the Parts Source Inc. Their fortunes (up to around 24) evaporated at around the same time as RAVE's did. They also don't have a clue as to why their stock hit 24 or why it is now down to 2. I also bought into RAVE looking for a bargain, only at a much higher price than you did. Now I'm stuck with the dog. The way I figure it, it's trading below book at this point so I'm considering buying some more to improve my position. The problem is as JDuffy pointed out, it is hard not to suspect some illegal stock manipulation here. You have no doubt read the motley fool article on the stock. Their analysis is OK to explain why the stock went down to 14, but it doesn't explain this kind of collapse. Any thoughts? KH
