Mitch: Good thinking about Dr. Stamm. My read of Dr. Stamm is changing. At first, he was definitely hands-off and isolated. I think he learned a hard lesson with Boonen and is compensating for it.

For example, the Nebraska find is his. He picked the area and ran the survey. Then, he and Horst interpeted the data and cherry-picked the 25,000 acres from the 250, 000 acres that Amoco originally leased but never developed. Dr. Stamm has also been very hands-on at the drilling site, working closely with KNE. (BTW, I have been told that all drilling costs have been paid for by NAE so there's no fear of a default situation a la Boonen.)

Their success in developing the Nebraska field is also a function of Dr. Stamm's expertise. He may have a degree in theoretical physics, but he also has developed a special talent as a geotechnical person and he knows it. Just look at the results of the EMSounder tests to date.

I asked Paul why he didn't agree to the interviews that were supposed to be held at the IPAA meeting. Paul said that the reason is simple. Dr. Stamm does not want to reveal the secret to his technology's success. He would prefer to have the results speak for themselves.

As always, do your due diligence and pass on any info here.
