TMCI Electronics Awarded a Multi-Million Dollar Order from
Silicon Valley Group

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 1997--TMCI Electronics Inc., (NASDAQ: TMEI - news)
announced today that it has received a multi-million dollar order from Silicon Valley Group (SVG)(San Jose), to
provide custom enclosures and wire cable harness assemblies for their fluid temperature control (FTC) equipment.

FTC is used to monitor and control process temperatures in a highly sensitive semiconductor wafer fabrication
manufacturing environment. The equipment is considered vital to controlling the yield of wafers in the semiconductor
manufacturing process. TMCI is expected to begin full production of the order in February 1998.
