Here is a guess... yesterday the price went lower on very low volume.
I bet the market makers noticed their was few people on the bid and
there were a couple of stop limit orders under that. They blew through a couple bids and paid them back with the shares they got at a discount.

It was a way for the market makers to make a quick buck at no risk.
