To All
I attended the Jmar presentation in New York on Wednesday. I will not repeat what others have said, but the meeting was very upbeat.
In regard to the Equity Carve out. Dr Martinez said they are considering the Thermo Electron model of spinning off pieces of the business and yet keeping a fraction of the company spun off. He said there were two directors of JMAR that had experience with Thermo Electron. Today, Thermo trades at slightly larger value than the sum of the parts. I add this has been a great buy for its investors.

He acknowledged that the Swiss investors had shorted the 750,000 shares. He was mad that they did this. He stated that the registration was REG D and Not REG S and they legaly can not cover with the shares they have from the placement. He thinks they must cover in the open market. (I don't know enough to agree or disagree but I have seen enough finageling without SEC censure that I would not be suprised if they walked away without a slap from the SEC).

He mentioned that they have recently completed a patent search for dental use of the britelite. He said patent counsel indicated that they were covered in this area. They do not have a partner in this area and would only go into this area with a partner with the dental infrastructure (my words).

The partner for the lite knive is exploring wider uses than just hospital use. They still have not applied to the FDA but seem to think that it will not be a major hurdle.

I walked away very impressed with the company. 1998 should be a great
year for JMAR. Frank
