Some of these studies are so non intuitive. I look around at the people I know that exercise A LOT, like 3 hours a day, and they don't have an ounce of fat on them. How can exercise cause fat gain??? The folks that do long runs have incredible stamina. How can short, intensive exercises be better???

I'm pretty cynical of a lot of this shit. I think what they are measuring as "good" changes might be wrong.
