O.T. I pay as little tax as possible to Obama.gov (last year 2.1% on AGI >106k). I made a slight error in estimating or it would have been ZERO on slightly less AGI. Just this morning my wife asked me why I spend so much time studying taxes. My answer was: 1. I view Federal taxes as a very inefficient charity (possible exception of defense) with questionable objectives which conflict with my own. 2. I never contribute to inefficient charities and prefer admin costs <10% (i.e. 90% goes for the purpose intended). Anyone want to hazard a guess what Obama.gov's admin cost is? <NO GRIN> 3. Therefore I minimize Federal taxes so I can contribute more to efficient charities that agree with my objectives.
