This is a good piece about some of the more important variables at work in the NOW.

Certain assumptions that we see in commentary day to day are just unfamiliar with these material variables.

Currently, There is no blanket condition one could bet on….The assumption about peak oil was a prevailing blanket position that lasted for decades, its unwinding seemed impossible because its momentum had so much media behind augmenting its rationalizations.

the unwinding in 2014 blinded all of them who were certain that the meme was alive and well. Needless to say they did not understand particulate oil, nor do they even now. speculators speculate often without consideration of their own deficit understanding.
