Dec. 17 - IFM.TSE - MPACT IMMEDIA PROVIDES ELECTRONIC COMMERCE SOLUTION TO NATIONSBANK

LIVONIA, MICHIGAN--
MPACT Immedia, a global Electronic Commerce company, today announced a major
contract with NationsBanc Services, the operating company of NationsBank, for
its EC software product MessageWay(r).

NationsBank will be the third largest bank in the U.S. with $290 billion in
assets and 80,000 employees when its merger with Barnett Banks is completed
early next year. This latest MPACT Immedia financial installation joins those
at some of the world's largest banks, including Bank of America, Royal Bank
of Canada, Hongkong Bank of Canada, ABSA Bank in South Africa, BBS/Bank Axept
in Norway and Citibank in Europe.

At NationsBank, MessageWay will be interfacing to CO-ach, an automated
clearing and settlement system from an international provider of electronic
payments solutions, Applied Communications Inc. (ACI), a subsidiary of
Transaction Systems Architects Inc.

NationsBank processed more than 180 million ACH (Automated Clearing House)
transactions in 1996 and will use MessageWay and CO-ach to enhance its
abilities to accept, process and route a full array of debit and credit
transactions, as well as consolidate multiple ACH processing systems
currently in use.

MessageWay operates on Tandem Computers' NonStop fault-tolerant systems,
providing NationsBank high-performance, parallel processing, 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. Because MessageWay is integrated with CO-ach, ACH
transactions are quickly and seamlessly delivered to and from CO-ach and
NationsBank clients.

According to Jim Dale, Executive Vice President of MPACT Immedia, MessageWay
delivers exceptional value as the CO-ach customer access component. "Our
banking customers are telling us that they need more than just file and
message transfer capabilities to service their applications. To be
competitive in their markets, they need to be able to provide enhanced
services for formats such as SWIFT and Financial EDI. MessageWay provides all
of those facilities in one, off-the-shelf offering."

MPACT Immedia Corporation, a worldwide leader in Electronic Commerce, offers
both EDI Commerce and Internet Commerce products and services through its
offices in Montreal, Livonia (Michigan), and Toronto. By marketing with
