Flat panel displays have 2 problems as I understand it. Correct me
if wrong. 1) Viewing angle is not wide unless the photoelectro-
luminescence approach is used. I believe the above terminology is
correct, but I can verify it if necessary. 2) The problem with the
above solution is that RGB can not produce blue luminescence with
this technology. Blue is makeshift.
A little known venture capitalist company in Canada called Westaim
has claimed to developed an inexpensive blue photoelectroluminescence
process. It's my understanding this could be a solution to tv's
flat panel future. Any flat panel Gurus out there with comments? I'm
about primed to double up on MUEI if I can sort this flat panel thing
out soon enough.
