I'm not going to get in the business of defending Louisiana politicians. Having lived and voted there, I can tell that is a tough assignment.

However, I would say that these claims are certainly less disturbing than Obama's involvement with Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayres, both of which were overlooked by the media and by the voters.

So, when we, as a nation, are ready to hold Obama to a higher standard for his associations, we should start thinking about going after Louisiana legislators.
